Another popular choice when deciding on what type of camera to use is a day/night camera. Having built-in infra red Light Emitting Diodes (LED), these cameras can record an image 24 hours a day, night and day.

All CCTV systems can be easily integrated with alarm systems. Motion detectors can be set up so they activate a CCTV camera on detecting an intruder. The camera can be set up to store information via a computer. Other options include using the Internet and an IP camera to monitor the interior of your home via a broadband connection. The alarm system will need to be connected to an appropriate telephone line.
