Wireless Burglar Alarms and CCTV Systems in WarwickshireDue to increased demand for burglar alarm systems with CCTV equipment, costs have fallen whilst choice has increased. Burglar Alarms & CCTV equipment can be professionally installed, however some products can be installed by those proficient at DIY. When thinking about purchasing your burglar alarm and CCTV equipment it is worth taking the time to find out about the different systems available, we will guide you through the process of selecting the correct equipment for your needs. CCTV systems can be either wireless or wired. With our wireless CCTV systems the cameras connect to the recording device using a wireless signal. Indoor and outdoor transmissions are governed by regulations in terms of distance between cameras and recording equipment. With basic cameras, that work on one frequency only, they need to be carefully placed to avoid interference. In addition, cameras in wireless systems require a power source from the mains supply as batteries are unsuitable. Naturally, wired systems use wires to connect the recording device to the cameras used. There are no problems with interference and they can be positioned at any distance from the recording device. This type of install tends to be more difficult due to the installing wires. There are two common types of camera used with CCTV systems. These are Charged Couple Device cameras (CCD cameras) and Complementary Metal Oxide Semiconductor cameras (CMOS cameras). CMOS cameras tend to be cheaper but the images produced are not as sharp and clear. CCD cameras provide much clearer images but tend to be a little more expensive. Another popular choice when deciding on what type of camera to use is a day/night camera. Having built-in infra red Light Emitting Diodes (LED), these cameras can record an image 24 hours a day, night and day. All CCTV systems can be easily integrated with alarm systems. Motion detectors can be set up so they activate a CCTV camera on detecting an intruder. The camera can be set up to store information via a computer. Other options include using the Internet and an IP camera to monitor the interior of your home via a broadband connection. The alarm system will need to be connected to an appropriate telephone line. It is definitely worth seeking expert advice if you are considering purchasing this type of system. Alert Alarms, accredited by the NSI has been involved in the home security market since 1984.
